Meet the Mountain Drains Team
Owners Danny and Cindy Talbot have lived in Evergreen since 1985. Mountain Drains was founded in 2003 after many years of Danny commuting to companies far from Evergreen and a desire for him to work closer to his family. There was a need for a local company specializing in mountain drain and plumbing service repairs as the components must be serviced much differently than in a city. It was difficult to find companies that were willing to make the trip to the area and those companies didn’t have the 4-wheel drive vehicles for them to make the trip, especially if it was snowing. Mountain Drains was created to fill this need and better serve the Evergreen and surrounding area.
The business has been a family affair since the start. The colors and logo were inspired by Danny’s daughters’ favorite colors. The plunger exclamation point in the logo stuck after being hand-drawn by one of them. Rodeo, one of the family’s dogs, is often seen with Danny as he loves riding along to the jobs.
Giving Back
Danny and Cindy are actively involved in the community and have contributed to a wide variety of organizations in the area. They are passionate about volunteering and giving back to the local community where they raised their family. Their three daughters attended both Clear Creek and Evergreen High School, so Mountain Drains has sponsored many events and activities for both. They have also supported Conifer High School’s athletic department.
Mountain Drains has provided sponsorship for
- the athletic departments of three local high schools
- the 13 mile ‘Slacker Half-Marathon’ from Georgetown to Idaho Springs
- the annual Evergreen Rodeo and participated in the Rodeo Parade
- previous Drive-Smart Evergreen/Conifer Skate the Lake New Year’s Eve events
- the annual food drive for Loaves ‘n Fishes in the Clear Creek area
- Project Christmas Star, which provides baskets of food items for families in need during the holidays
- and many other community projects.
We feel very strongly about volunteering and giving back to our local community.
Cindy has volunteered in the schools their children attended for almost 20 years, from classroom volunteer to PTA president, to Accountability committee member, to Girl Scout troop leader. Cindy continues to give much of her time and resources to the community.
Our Family Passion: Hockey!
If you know Danny, you know that the family passion is hockey. If you’re a hockey fan, be sure to ask Danny some stories about his dad, Jean Guy Talbot, a hockey legend. Jean Guy won 7 Stanley Cups with the Montreal Canadians, so Danny has plenty of stories to share while he helps to resolve your drain issues. Who ever said you can’t have fun while getting their drains cleaned hasn’t met Danny!
